We’re thrilled to share that Forney ISD’s Opportunity Central (The OC) has been featured on the TODAY Show, highlighting its unique blend of academic learning and hands-on job training. The OC is an innovative multipurpose campus where students can not only excel in core subjects like math, science, and English, but also gain real-world experience by working in roles such as florists, baristas, and more.
This forward-thinking approach gives students the opportunity to develop career-ready skills before they graduate, setting them up for success in life. It’s inspiring to see national attention on a project designed to foster real-world skills and personal growth.

As proud partners, Exploration Zones by Exhibit Concepts played a key role in managing the design, fabrication, and installation of immersive spaces throughout The OC. From designing storefront vignettes like Bloom (the floral shop) to crafting hands-on spaces like Assembly Required (makers space), we were able to bring Forney’s vision to life, fostering an engaging and experiential learning environment. Outside of the high-school space, we designed OC Junior, the Pre-K space where Forney’s youngest learners are introduced to early immersive education through interactive play and themed learning stations, fostering a love of learning from an early age.
To hear Dr. Justin Terry, Superintendent of Forney ISD, and others, discuss more about the process and partnership, check out his insights in our testimonial video. See what else Dr. Terry had to say and explore our full case study here.
We’re proud to be part of this transformative project, and we look forward to continuing our mission of creating experiential learning environments for students of all ages.
